Overview
As a buyer, you will have to interact with international suppliers located all over the world and with internal stakeholders.
Role will be based in our Senegal Office.
Role Responsibilities
As a buyer, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising the negotiations
- Making the strategic choices for the suppliers
- Managing the calls for tender process and the prices request
- Reviewing the prices quarterly
- Checking the contracts with the suppliers
- Following up closely of the equipment and service improvement
- Reviewing the performance monthly
Requirements for the Role
To succeed in the role, you will be/will have:
- At least 5 Years’ prior experience in Procurement
- Experience in process or performance engineering, operational experience working in Africa and direct purchasing experience.
- Experience of working in an Organisation operating within emerging markets
- Good stakeholder management skills, with previous experience of engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
- Good organisational, planning and project management skills with a structured, tenacious and self-motivated approach to success
- Setting appropriate goals, sub-goals and KPIs
- Reporting on key KPIs as required
- Knowledge of Infrastructure sector/ telecommunications
- Experience of financial reporting and compliance processes within a listed Organisation
