Logistic Manager / Quality Manager
What will be your role?
In this role you would be responsible for all the logistic aspects of the Warehouse concerning the supply chain of Shea.
The personnel in the warehouse will fall under your responsibility. But also the internal and external, the logistics of storage, loading and unloading activities related to Shea.
Priority is that you make sure that all activities are in compliance with the Safety and Environmental rules. Safety first is our motto! Therefore this position is a mixture between a Quality Manager and a Logistic Manager.
You will manage the accurate storage and stock control of raw materials / Shea Kernels and finished products, and keep the department’s operational documentation up to date. You certify that we maintain quality of stored products, in accordance with the hygienic legislations and risk prevention. Managing the logistic spaces and safe cleaning activities of silos, tanks and areas dedicated to loading, are also a key responsibility.
Continuous improvement is always on your mind: technical and economic feasibility of new projects, cost control and analysis, logistics budget management analysis of critical issues and working processes in order to optimize procedures, times, costs and safety. To acquire this you coordinate all the contracts and payments and assist the SCM-Procurement in the management and control of supply chain operations in West Africa. You support the coordination and management of all administrative and financial activities of the office.
This position reports to the head of the Bobo-Dioulasso office.
Who are you?
- Bachelor in Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Quality or any other related field;
- You have a few years of relevant industrial operation and safety / quality experience and knowledge of industrial and logistic processes; Due to the containerized cargo aspect experience in the shipping industry is also welcome;
- 3+ years in a coordination role;
- Experience in the vegetable oils and fats industry is helpful;
- Having experience in laboratory quality analysis would be great;
- You understand how Bulk load is handled; This may be another product (Liquid or Solid f.e.);
- Good digital literacy, Sap systems knowledge would be an added advantage;
- Excellent French and English language skills;
- Residing in the Bobo- Dioulasso area or willing to move there;

You enjoy operations and have a taste for being in the field. In general you have an uncompromising attitude towards procedures and quality standards. You desire to be autonomous in your work and you have good decision-making skills.
You are able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and have a desire to win at all costs.
